HROD 751: Organisational Behaviour: Leadership

The aim of this course is to help students appreciate the leadership literature and theories and their impact on the dynamics of human behaviour in organizational settings. Students are aimed to be able to manage a diverse workforce within organisations after studying this course.

Topics to be covered under this course includes: relationship between leadership and organizational behaviour; description of organizational behaviour; historical development of organizational; organisations as metaphors; individual differences; perception and attribution; attitudes; emotions and moods; personality and values; groups and teams; individual and group decision-making; communication; leadership; power and politics; negotiations and conflict; organizational environment; organizational design; organizational structure; organizational culture; organizational change; and global dimensions of organizational behaviour.
